The Downtown Christmas Tree Lighting
The Holidays in Portsmouth are filled with all kinds of wonderful events. We marked the start of the Holiday Season in town with the Christmas Tree Lighting at Market Square.
Thanks to the Portsmouth Middle School Band and the Sandpiper Chorus for sharing their musical talents with us.
This year, we added another element to the event. We asked everyone to bring a non-perishable food item to the Tree Lighting (or to our office by 12/14) and we'll donate all we collect to the Seacoast Food Pantry. For a list of suggested items, click here.
Date: Friday, November 30th
Time: 6pm
Location: Market Square - in front of the North Church (Tree is across the Square)
Thanks to Ms. Kennedy's Kindergarten Class at St. Patrick's School for contributing decorations for the Tree!
Since 2005, we have worked with the great folks at Grenon Trading Co. - thanks for your generousity in assistancing us with a beautiful selection of Tree decorations.
And last, but not least...thanks to the City of Portsmouth for supporting this great Community event!
